Attending THE CREATIVE CONNECTION is more than just an artistic getaway. We have heard countless ways TCC has been the catalyst in igniting the inner creative force for many past attendee’s. Whether you’re trying to launch a new business or just unleash a new creative path, attending TCC can be that vehicle sending you in new direction.
We recently heard from Lilla who attended TCC last year. She used the creative motivation to start her own business, RUBY VIOLET.
“I got the inspiration, information and motivation to find a partner to launch this line thanks in large part to my experience at TCC 2010″
Lilla will have 90 products launching in September.
“Product line includes Cuffs, rubberstamps, embellishments, papers, necklace kits with the wonderful Prima Manufacturing, Inc.”
We caught up with Lilla and asked her a few questions.
TCC: Even though you have a very established art agency, did going to TCC last year help you in your career?
Lilla: Absolutely! I got the inspiration, information and motivation to find a partner to launch my craft line, Ruby Violet; thanks in large part to my experience at TCC 2010. I learned a ton, networked, got guidance.
TCC: In addition to learning lots of things, did you have fun?
Lilla: That’s the great part of the conference. It was enormously fun and I made new friends and contacts.
TCC: Are you attending this year!
Lilla: Yes. I can’t wait! I’m excited about the courses I signed up for, the Marketplace, and all the surprises and fun that will happen.
TCC: Aren’t you on a panel and a Pitch Slam?
Lilla: Yes, I’m so excited to be a part of helping others. I’m on a panel on Licensing and will be reviewing live pitches for artists wanting to pursue textile design. Can’t wait.
TCC: Who do you recommend attends TCC?
Lilla: I am constantly encouraging every creative person to attend for inspiration and hard, practical help on growing your career in this exciting time. I believe the future economy belongs to creative women.
Maybe attending TCC is the kind of push you need?
I feel in love with Leigh’s works of “Heart” a few years back. As a owner/instructor of a pilates studio I have Curly Girl art all of my studio to inspire my clients. Fingers crossed for a chance to win her new calendar and apron…thank you for the opportunity!
Congratulations Lilla! Your products look amazing! How exciting! TCC changed my life too, I was discovered after having a booth at the MarketPlace last year! Can’t wait to see your full line! Loving the Connections made at The Creative Connection!!!
Wow! Love the name of your business, and all of the fun, colorful, creative pieces. Best of luck to you! TCC sounds awesome – wish I was able to go!
Hi@ I have been visiting over at Where Women Create and I thank you for being a part of this really nice giveaway. Jeanne
Her work is wonderful! I would love to come to the creative connection event but since I live in hawaii plane tickets are a little to pricey for me :)
How fun and creative!
I’m hopping over from the WWC blog… what gorgeous pretties! Susan
YES and YES! I want to ignite my business which is on a new path. For 10 years I ran a Christian art gallery in the suburbs of St. Paul, and represented 90 artists. These days I am working to consolidate and organize 10 years of my personal jewelry design that was shown at the gallery. The focus has changed from helping others and learning about my niche, to taking myself seriously enough to devote all my energy into creating my jewelry website, arise-designs.com. With 17 Collections in all it is quite the task! The first 7 Collections will launch in November, 2011. I have learned so much about styling photos, researching the content of my pieces, creating a look of my own and backing it up with a blog with wonderful photography. What a journey. I am hoping this conference will keep the fires burning and fuel me for the future. I can’t wait!
i would love to attend the creative connection event, but i won’t be able to this year. maybe someday!!
So much innovative design and inspiration!!
I wish I could attend it is something I will work toward for the future when my baby is a little older and I don’t have so much anxiety leaving her.
I wish I could go so badly!! I could really use some inspiration for my first fabric line I and designing. But since I can’t, maybe those books would inspire me! =] I would love to win the giveaway!
Another enticing post. Don’t I wish I lived north of here so I could treat myself to the workshop. Looking forward to seeing what fun you all create there!
