During your stay in downtown St. Paul, enjoy a number of entertainments within walking distance of the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The Science Museum of Minnesota is located across the street, overlooking the Mississippi River, and the History Center is just up the hill. If you like digging through a good antique store, 7th Street is loaded with shops. After all of that shopping works up an appetite, be sure to stop into Cossetta’s for a giant slice of pizza and house-made cannoli. They also have a fantastic Italian Deli and Market! Rice Park, a quick two blocks from the hotel, is surrounded by historic and interesting sights, including the St. Paul Hotel and Grill, the downtown library, Landmark Center and the Ordway Center–home to the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, musical theater, and opera. Be sure to try out the new oyster bar at Meritage, then buy something for hubby (just so he knows you thought of him while you were gone) at Heime’s Haberdashery, a family-owned, old-fashion men’s store. On the other end of downtown, Mears Park is where the nightlife happens, and there are a number of great restaurants to try:
